This is an incredibly useful site for our library patrons and the staff who try to assist them to navigate these various benefits agencies in emergency and other difficult circumstances. I notice the last newletter was posted in February. How often is the site updated? This is a terrific resource meeting a real and important need in the state. Thank you. Reply: We update whenever we learn of a change in program eligibility, benefits, or rules. In addition, we periodically review all information and check links to external web sites. |

I am trying to update my food stamps, but can't find where I go to do this. The foodstamp office will not answer any of my phone calls. It is frustrating. I have recently moved and sent in all my paperwork but its been a month and I haven't heard back. Reply: Call the DTA Recipient Services Hotline at 1-800-445-6604. |

How can i report fraud? Can a sub shop that sells bread & milk take food stamps for prepared sandwiches & meals? Reply: To report fraud, call the DTA Fraud Hotline at 1-800-FRAUD-99. Very informative, but the site never says when you can expect the first check for unemployment. Reply: Please see How long does it take to get benefits? |

I read your site info and thought it was very helpful to me. Much info to help me with my money problems. I would like to be able to call in and speak to a person and discuss my money problems and get directions on how to go about obtaining help from the programs. Thank you Reply: Please call an approved credit counseling agency and speak to a counselor. |

THANK U. Our oil tank is literally just about empty. The [Citizens Energy] voucher for oil came 2 days ago. When I called and applied I thought 'no way'. Yes way, it came. I am beyond grateful. |

Please print a guide that shows how much money a family can make to recieve assistance.
Reply: You can use our Benefit Screener to screen for many programs at once, or check each program's "Am I Eligible?" section for specific income limits. |

The site is great, however, i only found it by doing a search, it would be good to have known that this site existed without having to google it. Very useful site, benefit screener is great, saved alot of time, my client and I are going into the office this morning, and at least we know that we are not wasting our time waiting to see if he qualifies, he is now confident that he is eligible and this reduces anxiety while waiting to be interviewed. Thank you |
