Teen Parent Child Care
- AN OVERVIEW -
For more information, click on the programs below:
Teen parents are eligible for DTA child care vouchers or slots if they are receiving TAFDC and meet the school attendance requirements. Teens in special situations who receive TAFDC for their children but are not eligible for TAFDC themselves also qualify.
These child care subsidies are for teen parents who do not want to apply for TAFDC or are not eligible for TAFDC because their parents will not provide income information. The teens must be under 18, living at home, and attending school or a GED program full time.
This program offers child care, counseling, and many family support services to teen parents through age 19. Teen parents must be in high school or an approved education or work activity.
