Non-profit organizations offer free and low cost bags of food, and reduced-cost food packages for Massachusetts residents.

Brown Bag

Brown Bag is a supplemental food program that gives a free bag of food each month to low-income seniors. In some communities, families and people with disabilities are also eligible.

Dollar-a-Bag

Dollar-a-Bag is a surplus food distribution program that offers grocery bags filled with fresh produce and other available food items for a donation of $2 per bag.

Serve New England

Serve New England is a private non-profit organization that provides packages of healthy foods at a reduced cost in return for two hours of volunteer work in the community per month.
