MassResources.org provides useful information about a wide range of assistance programs for people in need living in Massachusetts. It provides information on what benefits are available, how to apply, eligibility requirements, benefit amounts, and answers to commonly asked questions.

MassResources.org presents this information in a logical manner. Select the type of assistance you need from the drop down menu and follow the links to learn about the various federal, state, and local programs in Massachusetts to help you. For many programs, you can download an application form or use an Eligibility Check to see if you are likely to qualify.

SafeLink Wireless cell phoneGet a free cell phone!
SafeLink Wireless Lifeline Service is a new free cell phone service for Massachusetts residents with limited incomes. See What Is SafeLink? for eligibility requirements and how to apply.

cold weatherHave your home weatherized to save money on heating bills. Apply for the Weatherization Assistance Program. Energy improvements are free for renters and homeowners who get LIHEAP fuel assistance, SSI, or TAFDC.

Children with shadowsThe Children's Behavioral Health Initiative provides new mental health services for children with severe emotional disturbances.

MassHousing's Homebuyer Tax Credit Loan Program allows homebuyers to borrow against their $8000 tax credit to pay for down payment or closing costs.
