Legal Services organizations throughout Massachusetts provide free legal assistance to low-income and elderly residents. They offer legal help with housing issues, government benefits, family law, and other non-criminal legal issues.
Several organizations have free web sites or telephone hotlines to provide legal information about housing, public benefits, consumer law, elder law, education, tax credits, and health care.
There are a number of organizations in Massachusetts that offer low-cost or free legal help with green card applications, deportation proceedings, asylum cases, family-based visa petitions, citizenship, and other immigration matters. Services include counseling, application assistance, referrals, and legal representation.
